Theme Issue on Poverty and Human Development
CMJ
invites submission of articles for the thematic issue on
Poverty and Human development, planned for October 2007.
Answering the call of the Council of Science Editors,
the CMJ
plans to publish articles on this important theme to
raise awareness, stimulate interest, and encourage
research into poverty and human development. Examples
of topics of interest: status and trends of poverty
indicators; disparities between urban and rural
populations; inequalities of people with differing
levels of income; interrelationships of income, health,
and development; monitoring progress in meeting
international goals.
Original research articles and systematic reviews will
have the highest priority, but other types of articles
are also welcome. The deadline for the submission of
articles is May 1, 2007. For further information contact

As announced in the
editorial “Double
life of Medical Journals: Dr Paper and Mr Web“ the
Croatian Medical Journal introduces an on-line
manuscript submission and peer review system, in order
to better serve the authors and speed up the review and
publishing process. From now on, all manuscripts
should be submitted online (link).
Submissions in paper form will not be accepted.
The authors of manuscripts submitted in paper form will
be referred to the online submission system.
